Uniforms and equipment of the combatants from the Peronne museum

French 'Poilu' - don't think the sky blue helps much in a trench
German - much more sensible Field Grey
 
British (or the Tommy..)
British Cavalry on the left and Highlanders on the right (and yes they did fight in the Kilt)
 
American, complete with helpful guide to bandaging...
The main weapons that created so much death and destruction for the infantry. The three in the front are the main machine guns of the combatants. Top left is the French Hotchkiss, middle is the British Vickers and bottom right is the German Maxim. They could all fire about 500 rounds a minute using 250 round belts.
