Au revoir Paris...bienvenue Bayeux

So goodbye for now Paris - had a great time with gorgeous company (Mrs Rowswell) and left with about an inch added to waist line thanks to pastries, butter, 8 hour roasted duck legs with honey, double chocolate mousse and plenty of vino.

Stayed at the Five Hotel, 3 rue de Flatters which is in the 'Latin Quarter' apparently, off Blvd Port Royale. Super nice people and romantic rooms so worth a stay - but don't trying swinging a cat.

Spent last day wandering the Champs Elysee and Blvd Hausmann which could have been seriously expensive but just turned out to be very pleasant  in springtime sort of way.

Final thoughts on Paris - why does so much of it smell like an NCP car-park stair well? Are there just not enough toilets?

One last thing - Avis Paris Nord is NOT at the Gare Du Nord as I expected but at Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport...

New post follows...
